I have been on Sian's Eat Smartly plan for almost 2 months and have
lost over half a stone, but more importantly 2.5 inches from my waist.
It’s great to have an individual plan which was devised from the start
with my eating habits in mind. Siân spent time with me at the beginning
going through my food diary and suggesting small changes I could make
gradually, with the goal of a steady loss of 1 pound a week. This is a
much more sensible way of dieting, involves no fad foods, nor spending
large amounts of money up front buying stuff that will just sit in the
cupboard after a week. It’s great to have the individual time spent on
the phone each week with Siân, rather than having a tiny amount of time
with a slimming consultant at the large slimming groups. We go through
how the week has gone and focus on the positive goals for the next
week, not what I haven’t achieved. I don’t feel like I am competing
with other people, and do not feel embarrassed if I have had a bad
week. Because of this plan I have gradually increased my exercise, and
this has really helped, in fact I have just started training for my
first triathlon, and although I am nervous I know I will achieve it
with Siân’s help.
Update ............. I have now been on the plan for 4 months and have
reached my first target - I have lost 1 stone, steadily losing small
amounts. I have Increased my exercise, have a lot more energy and
completed the triathlon last week in under 2 hours! I have also lost
4.5 inches off my waist and now have the problem of trousers being too
long as they slip over my waist - what a nice problem to have!
Looking forward to going for my next target - another stone and a 10k run in the spring. Thanks Sian.
